Heres the deal... due to my fractured arm I have not run for 11 days...only 11 days! First of all, I am going completely stir crazy! I am NOT one to sit around on my a$s! Second of all, I am eating BAD! Very BAD! When I am out there running and working my body hard at the gym and yoga I am careful to fuel my body properly. I enjoy cooking and eating clean. I usually drink lots of water. I watch my intake of carbs and protein and make sure Im getting healthy doses of both. I make sure my diet is well-rounded and follow the 80/20 rule of eating clean. Heres the real deal...If I quit doing these things...clean eats and exercising (I hate to call it exercising, because to me its being active doing the things I love to do) and went back to all my bad eating habits it wouldnt take me long to gain all my weight back, lose all my muscle, become very lazy and depressed, become jealous and envious and just hate myself and life. I would feel so much worse mentally, spiritually and physically. My back would hurt again and Id ache all over. Seriously. Im not going to let it happen. I know better! I know how good it feels to be fit, healthy and strong and I never, ever want to go back! So, if you are in my same boat for some reason or feel like youre drowning in the frustration of it all, do me a favor and STOP IT! Come up for air! Empower yourself. Start eating better! Start drinking more water! Go for a walk, go out for a run or hike, make a trip to the gym, hop on your bike for a ride or hit up the yoga studio. Take those steps to a better you. One little step at a time.You are worth it. I know from experience you will like yourself more. You will feel better all around. Everything will be better!
