Hewlett Packard will add 65 jobs at two its local data hubs, the Tulsa Regional Chamber announced Friday. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company said the high tech jobs will have an average wage of $65,000 a year. HP has about 800 employees in Tulsa at its two data centers. Those data centers help managed about 70 percent of the nation’s air travel. HP’s data centers are at the Cherokee Industrial Park in North Tulsa and another on North Mingo Road near Tulsa International Airport. “This is a very exciting time for HP Enterprise Services Transportation Industry and the city of Tulsa,” said Wes Mitchell, director of data centers services at HP Enterprise Services. HP is holding a hiring event on Jan. 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at Tulsa Tech’s Owasso Campus at 10800 N. 140th East Ave.
