Hey! As you may have been aware, I attended a hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice yesterday with my family, to address Marcus fight against Croydon University hospital to be; 1) Resuscitated should his heart stop beating due to the deterioration of his inflammation on his brain stem, 2) Treated for any infections and/or to be given any treatment which is deemed to be in Marcus best interest and 3) To be moved to another hospital which is deemed suitable and appropriate within the best interest of Marcus. I am ECSTATIC to announce that the court ordered in the families favour in regards to Marcus being treated and moved however it was decided that Marcus would not be resuscitated (using CPR) due to the various implications and damage it would cause Marcus. Just two of the implications/damage would be his ribs breaking due to the amount of pressure used to induce CPR considering how brittle Marcus bones are at current. Another reason is that his heart will more than likely not start to beat again if he was resuscitated because his brain simply will not allow his heart to beat. We have not yet completely won the fight as we still want Marcus to be moved and we will continue to reassess what care/treatment is in the best interest of Marcus but on behalf of Marcus and my family I would like to thank you all for your support and ask that you continue to spread the word and support us and Marcus Campaign!
