Hey Everyone, Clancey has allowed me to hijack her facebook page to fill you in on her lucky break. Queensland Opera is staging La Boheme later in the year. On the back of this production they will be running Project Puccini; which is the opportunity for non professional singers to be trained and perform with the Opera Queenslands production along side the original cast. This project will be filmed as a documentary (much like the doco that Greg was in for Tosca). The documentary will be televised. Clancey has secured a solo audition next Tuesday the 8th April (her first ever). The judging panel consists of Jason Baron Smith and Narelle French; both of which know Greg very well (Particularly Narelle who has worked closely with Greg for the duration of his career with Opera Australia). Clancey is well prepared with a classical, soprano piece that won her choir 1st place, in the last Gold Coast Eistedfod - Al Shlosha Dvarim . She sings it beautifully. Shell keep you all posted.
