Hey Everyone! You can get the Energy 180 special until Sunday night. The reason I put the special up (other than its my birthday) is I acquired another cat. Let me tell you what happened. It was 7:45 yesterday and I knew that Kyles ride to school would be here soon. There was a small black cat on the porch eating, Because I know what would happen when Kyle would come out of the house (the cat would bolt across the street). I turned the doorknob so that the cat would run off the porch and hide in the bushes. I figured a doorknob turn isnt as dramatic as a kid on the porch. I was wrong. The cat bolted into the street (heavy traffic) and got hit twice. NOBODY STOPPED. Me - freaking out inside about what do I get to get the body off the road. Cussing at myself for turning that doorknob..etc... Cars, buses, trucks all driving over the cat. Then.... It lifted its head up! I ran out into the street so no one would hit it. Yelling at someone to stop and help (because if I left someone would run her over). Of course no one stopped. Then the ride arrived. She stayed in the road with the cat while I ran and got a box. Put the cat in a box and away to the vet I took it. (meantime Kyle went to school, forgetting his book bag). At 1st look overs it appeared that her mouth is damaged - she will need stitches and eventually a tooth pulled. No internal injuries or broken bones. She is FIV and FIP negative - and she was already fixed. Her name s Lucky Lucy - a cute, affectionate little black cat. She was hit by 2 cars. A dozen or so cars, trucks and buses ran over her (not with tired obviously) and she is still alive. Her full vet bill is about $550. I need help with the vet bill - hence the reading special.
