Hey FBF! Happy Monday! I am going to say it and, hopefully, you guys will not get mad at me! Personally, I do not think Levensons e-mail was racist and he should not have stepped down because of it; unless he saw this as an opportunity to earned money by selling a team that wasnt on the winning track as he wished. If this was the case, perhaps, this was a smart business move by him. If not, again, I do not think is comments in the e-mail were racist; instead just observations that he choose to put in writing to his business partners, I assume. As an owner of any type of business your main objective is to make a profit...to make money! Seemingly, more than anything he was merely being proactive by putting into writing the practices, routines and observations with hopes of brainstorming ideas/ways to generate more money for the company. This is what a good business person should do. Now either Levenson is being untruthful in his assessment or he is on point. If his observations are true; then perhaps, the large number of blacks need to start spending more money on concessions and jerseys, get to the games on time, show some enthusiasm for the team and be more inclusive in the make up of their cheerleaders so that the guest will feel more inclusive. Even so, Levenson seems to understand the income of those in attendance might be the reason they arent spending the dollars. Again, he was just trying to find ways to change his bottom line! Honestly, the only problem I had with him was the numerous errors in his spelling and grammar! He should have sent the document to his administrative assistant before hitting the send button! Personally, I havent being a huge Hawks supporter since Dominique Wilkins was a player. The way they treated him left a bitter taste in my mouth. Thats another story, though. Please share your thoughts.
