Hey GLACURH! According to the Governing Documents of our organization, we must select a new regional philanthropy in even-numbered years at our regional conference. At this time, I must apologize greatly for overlooking this, an area that falls under my administrative purview. I take full fault in being ill-prepared for said selection. At this time, I have discussed the issue with our Directorship and Advisor and we feel that it would be best to select this at No Frills 2015, as opposed to waiting until 2016. Per policy, CC and member school feedback in the selection of a final two charities before presentation is vastly important. Therefore, Ashley Stegall, Illinois Communications Coordinator, and myself will be co-chairing the regional philanthropy committee. We will be tasked with outreach to multiple charitable organizations that reflect our values and, ultimately, the committee will decide two finalists that NCCs will vote on in the No Frills Boardroom after presentation and discussion. If you are even remotely interested in serving GLACURH by being a member of this committee, please reply to me via this post or email me directly. I know it is a busy time of year, so Im not going to bother with an application, please just let me know your interest via email or on here.
