Hey MiM Sydney Supporters! We are excited to announce our full speaker list for Sunday. Dr Patricia Ranald - convenor of AFTINET will speak on the TPP and its implications for Australian citizens. Cat Rose - convenor of Community Action Against Homophobia will speak on Marriage Equality Wendy Bacon - Journalist and Editor of New Matilda will speak on media issues, the Murdoch press and environmental issues in Australia. Nick Reimer - member of Refugee Action Coalition Sydney will address the growing concern around the treatment and protection of Asylum seekers and Refugees. Parisa Asvadi - an Iranian Refugee, will give a personal account of her experience as a refugee in Australia. Maurie Mulheron - President of the NSW Teachers Federation will speak about Gonski reforms, education cuts and the issues facing teachers in this state. Uncle Ken Canning - Murrie writer and poet, will speak on his longtime fight for Indigenous Justice and the fight of his people. Billy Bragg - English singer/songwriter and political activist will share his thoughts and play a couple of tunes for us too!
