Hey Zane I am an avid fan who actually started writing because of you. Heres my issue I write short stories which I hope to publish soon, recently I joined a church and invited a few select ladies to read and give constructive criticism. To my surprise the 20 something loved it the 50 something loved it but the 30 + year old was appalled said my work was not God sent I was encouraging gay life drug dealing and prostitution. When I replied God gave me a gift to paint pictures with words she responded then use better words and walked away. As for you question, and I am an EXPERT at this, dont say anything to those who do not approve of your lifestyle and writing style. They are entitled to their opinions but only you can determine their level of significance in your life. I cannot count the number of times that I have been doing an event or signing and some women felt the need to comment that they do not read that kind of stuff. Does it hurt my feelings when they say that? Nope. It is not a problem for me at all. In fact, I usually giggle about the entire thing. You cannot worry about pleasing everyone. That is never going to happen.
