Hey all…on September 28, I will be participating in the Hike for Lungs in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, and walking with the Bernie Mac Foundation’s Team. Not many know, but I have struggled for the past 4 years with Sarcoidosis of the Lungs. It is a frustrating and lifelong disease with no cure that affects different parts and organs in your body. Medical research and answers can be at times elusive and confusing as you try to manage it day to day and be able to just get on with your life. Fortunately, my Sarcoids is at present, stable, but it wasn’t always that way. If you are able to donate towards helping the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research & the Bernie Mac Foundation continue their research and raising awareness, please do! I (along with my friend Frid Branham), will walk our legs off for the countless others that suffer from lung issues. And PLEASE do remember to always be kind to yours and others lungs as there are a ton of people out there that wish they had healthy lungs! Thanks! aelana
