Hey everyone, Some [not so] quick shout outs. First, thank you to all of you for coming out to our Season 3 playoffs! For as much I could see, everyone seemed to have fun! Most importantly, I noticed much more sportsmanlike play than in previous playoffs. There are always some questionable calls; but when that happened today, everyone took it in stride and played through it. I loved that and its the kind of progress were looking for. You should all pat yourselves on the back for being part of a league that actively strives to be better. Second, congratulations to this seasons winners! Dodging Child Support, Kore, and Archers! You all deserved the win and I hope you all had fun doing it. Kore and Archers are new teams as well. Way to show everyone up! Third, I have to mention what a great season this has been. It was a rough start getting 32 teams in the league but I think it paid off big time. Lots of positive reception to the sport, and lots of constructive feedback for us to make it even better. Your feedback does not go unheard or without discussion. Dont forget that we had the biggest turnout ever to pub night! It was great to see some new teams, and I hope you all come out next time. Well run it in a space thats better suited to mingling. Of course, no one can forget the epic Christmas tournament where you collectively raised over $5000 for the Surrey Christmas Bureau. We love the generosity of this league; and rest assured, that generosity will make a lot of kids Christmas that much better. Fourth, big shout out to all the other volunteers. Ryan, Steph, and Stef - you three have immediately grown into 3 of the best night coordinators Ive ever seen. Great initiative out there. Todd and Ashlyn - your scheduling work is out of this world and its not to be underrated. Our events run smoothly because of you. Tony - we all love your love for technology haha. Lets just say you make all of our mugs.. fabulous. That said, please start pointing that lens away from me. Thanks. Mat - thank you for getting all the other volunteers up to speed! Sis - awesome job with the charity work. Most of that stuff happens behind the scenes, but is arguably our most important line of work. Fifth, big shout out to Mr. Vo! I get to talk to Kevin and work with him all the time, and trust me when I say that he genuinely cares about the well-being and philanthropy of this league. He constantly takes the initiative to get stuff done, and when he has a good idea he gets after it. Lastly, gotta thank the Peacocks for all the cards! Thank you for all of your kind words. This is the kind of thing that makes us all remember that this is all worth it. Come out to the pub more often will ya? If we dont see you before Season 4, then have a great Christmas and a happy New Years! Cheers.
