Hey gals! if any of you are members of Sisters on the Fly....I wanted to make sure you knew about the Pac NW Gathering next year! Below is the info...This is an official SOTF event (you must be a member, and this is for us women only!) June 24-28, 2015 Honky Tonk Angels - Honoring the Legends At Seven Feathers RV Resort, Canyonville, Oregon Join us, you fabulous angels, for our annual SOTF PNW regional gathering amidst the tall trees, the rivers, the wine country, and the open land in mid-Oregon. What have we got planned for you? whoa… girls...just you wait… Our venue is Seven Feather RV Resort ~ a beautiful 4-Star, secluded gathering spot about 3 ½ hours south of Portland or an easy 3 ½ hours’ drive north from Redding, CA. on I-5. Heated indoor pool, hot tub, 18 spotless individual shower rooms, it is nice! This honky tonkin’ rally is about honoring our legends, ourselves, the earth and all its creatures. It is about sharing ourselves and what we do, learning and trying new things, relaxing and hanging with your sisters and meeting new friends, playing and singing some good ole’ tunes, selling and swapping, a silent and live auction to raise money because that is one way we give back (got stuff?), getting out in nature, moving your body, doing some dancing and yoga and more, writing down and telling some stories, having great meals together, sipping and sharing. AND we have a gorgeous big indoor swimming pool and hot tub to use! And a workout room if you are inclined to get on that treadmill or lift a few, and horseshoes – contest anyone?? Kayaking, hiking and golf are nearby too! AND how about some late night cowgirl movies and popcorn??? And of course, fun, because why? We have more fun than anyone! You’re in!!! What we need from you later is the final payment by February 1, 2015. Extra outside activities, like kayaking, wine tasting trolley, and the fab T-shirts (Wait until you see the logo!) will be extra and we’ll post all of that in a separate order sheet soon. That order will be due in full by February 1, 2015 as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you want to know more? After I (Paulette) raised my hand to help lead the way for 2015, I had so many dreams and desires for our rally and for you sisters. This is what I wish for, for our gathering! I think it is so important to live each day, to love ourselves first, and then pass on that love to each other, to take care of ourselves so that we may be of service to others, to take care of our planet and our creatures, to live with passion and joy, to fulfill our creative dreams and to stay connected with each other, with the spirit of community, friendship, and love… I wish for this gathering to be about creative spirit, well-being, love, honoring each other and of course, fun! I wish to introduce the mother ship, the matriarchs, and the founders of SOTF. There are sooooo many new sisters, and as we move forward with that beautiful and exciting energy, that we need to be reminded and honor what the roots of this tribe was and is. --How it got started, for the gals who laid the path, who traveled the back roads, who juiced up those trailers from the beginning. I wish to honor the first sisters and their mother, and share their stories, so that we can carry on the traditions while we make new ones! I wish for a night of storytelling as we all have stories to share… I wish for a day of workshops, of creativity and words, of learning new things, of sharing who we are and what we do, of stretching ourselves. I wish for delicious foods and fabulous meals. I wish for movement--yoga, dance, hiking… to celebrate our bodies and ourselves and each other. To find that inner and outer connection. I wish for music-- for pleasure, celebration, for some boot-scootin, and the good old timing honky tonkin’ tunes, to honor those legends too.. I wish for adventure and exploration and delicious conversation. I wish for gal time and friendship and relaxation. I wish for a night of raising money and awareness, for an auction of sorts and a cause worth donating to. I wish for a farm to table meal together--a long table of the bounty to share. I wish for steaming mugs of coffee and full goblets of wine. I wish for all us women to step forward to share and teach us all something. We will have a more detailed schedule out soon but don’t dally, we want and need you to get your registration and deposit in right away. And what else we ask is please don’t send lots of emails or call us with questions yet…and please DO NOT call 7 Feathers Resort……..
