Hey guys! Ive been a bit busy so apologies on not having our December challenge up until now. Physical activity is important for fitness obviously. But, the KEY to true health and fitness starts in the kitchen. So leading into the New Year ... I am going to do NO LESS than three miles of exercise a day. If your exercises of choice are better logged with time ... NO LESS THAN 45 MINUTES A DAY ... FOR NOW! I want us to focus on whats going into our bodies while making exercise a daily, intentional act. So, when January 1st HITS (at midnight so you get one toast! One and done! :) ) WE GO HARDER ... because WELL BE STRONGER! EVERY day this month ... I want you to incorporate a green vegetable with every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner. For example, I have *spinach, asparagus, *broccoli, zucchini squash, *green (and red) peppers with every meal. No fail. *Kale, *Swiss Chard, Cabbage, *Brussel Sprouts, Persian Cucumbers ... are amazing. I sometimes switch these out as well. I get very structured with food when Im really watching what I eat and can eat the same thing, every meal ... every day. It works for me. Its easy. My craving for not having to count calories while switching up my food every day squelches my craving for a huge variety of food! I dont have to think. I just DO. :) (*most nutrient-dense) Whats great yall ... a GOOD, HEALTHY portion of these foods range anywhere from 20 to 40 calories in one sitting (remember - all depends on how prepared too! No salt. Limit EVOO to spray to keep calories low). They are full of nutrients, fill you up and I promise ... your body will start to crave them. So, three miles or 45 minutes of exercise daily and a green vegetable with every meal ... every day this month. Exercising and eating with INTENT. Whos with me? What is YOUR INTENTION? Knowing it ... gets you to it! Post it here. :) Please share what youre doing ... as often as you can ... with our friends here for ideas, motivation and encouragement. Recipes for different ways of cooking these greens (I like to just spray a teeny bit of Coconut Oil in a skillet and brown them) and lets really posture ourselves for an INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL 2016! It will be THE YEAR OF YOU! Its time. Lets get started now! Yay! #INSPIRE
