He’s still waiting! Available for Adoption; Located in Halifax, MA. Rocky is a 65 lb., 2 yr. neutered male Sharpei/Boxer Mix. Up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm & lyme negative. He has been living with a 7&9 yr. old for 4 months now and is absolutely wonderful with them. Because of his semi-dominant nature and strong prey drive, Rocky should be the only animal in the home. No other dogs, cats or small animals, please. He is also apprehensive with certain men yet hasn’t had any issues with my husband and men I have introduced him to. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is very obedient and is does extremely well with obedience training. He is always eager to please and his tail never stops wagging. He likes to ride and walks very well on leash. His favorite things to do are play fetch, chew his bone, snuggle and always be close. It has been my goal to give him stability and structure for the first time in his life, which is why I decided to foster him. It is also the reason I am looking for a person/family with strong leadership skills that is committed to give him the same stability. Upon adoption, further obedience training will be required with me, so his new guardians can learn what he already knows. Reference checks and home visits will also be required to ensure the best fit for all. As a trainer of 17+ years, I am confident that with the right family, Rocky will continue to flourish and be a treasured family member.
