Hi All Dead Parrots is rising from the proverbial ashes for an event filled second term. We are introducing new initiatives and a better platform to promote the flow of ideas. Our specific goal of the year is to host themed events where we deal with stigmas. Christo Rademan Jean-Luc Koenig and myself are taking things forward this year. With the help of the rest of our committee Darrell, Alden, Martinus, Johannes and Daniel. We have decided to start a Facebook page to share content, promote our events and act as a basis for our advertising. There will also be a new feature breakfast show, Good Morning Stellenbosch!. Another addition is themed filled content weeks, with interesting and controversial stories to follow that will be shared. So, please go like the page! We will post the link here tomorrow for the first time. However, as the Dead Parrots, we still want to give you guys interesting people who have interesting things to say. Consequently, there will be a couple of Dead Parrots events in the second term which you need to look out for. Just to give a taste of things to come: Jeremy Acton leader of Iqela Lentsango (Weed Party of South Africa) will feature in a debate. And an evening where the issue of sustainability in South Africa is critically discussed. To end of, like our page and be on top of all the important Dead Parrots dates for the year.
