Hi All you Sax Players out there; My good friend Tom Wiggins asked me to mention a little about the new sax reeds that I am now playing: Forestone Black Bamboo Tenor Reeds!! They have a very good and even quality about them and they really sound good and last a very very long time!! Give them a try!! I would also like to mention something that I have discovered that has been Bugging me ever since I started playing sax!! It goes like this: Hey Sax players: Do you have a problem with sticking pads?? The solution, that has worked for me, is plain and simple: Clear Window Cleaner Spray that you can get in any supermarket!! (USA-Windex!) Here in Germany-I got mine from the Edeka Supermarket and is called: Glas Reiniger-(Glass Cleaner)!! I would imagine that any of them will work!! Just put some on a Q-Tip and rub it on the pad and the Rim of the sax pad hole itself!! Do this a couple of times to make sure that there is enough on the pad and very wet etc.!! When I first did it with the Ab pad, I actually POURED it on the pad by accident! I wiped the Excess away. I think that the Q-Tip though, should be enough but you will have to test it!! Anyway, this was about 5 months ago and I have no more sticking problem at all!! It will work and up to now, has not hurt the pad!! Keep a little in a small bottle-The size of the free little Hotel Shampoo Ampules-along with some Q-tips in your sax case just in case!! Let me know how it works for you!! Tyree
