Hi Daniel (Pinchbeck), thanks for the reply. Living by example is indeed what motivates others to do the same. But its just not enough, considering the enormous damage being done to the biosphere all over the world. The UN is going in the right direction at times (let the fear mongers regurgitate for big oil all they want). But its still not enough. I see you, and many others, that have some truly great ideas. But are lacking the ability to achieve the goals on a large scale. So how do we get the masses on board? Celebrities do help, as obviously Russell Brand as shown. But its just not enough, especially when the steps are not really there. People like the idea of a new system. But perhaps are a bit naive to continuity of government and how the US has been preparing for years in advance, with unlimited funding, for such an up rise, or revolution. They dont just have the think tanks devoted to it, they practice it in drills all the time. And are very well prepared, extremely well prepared. And have been doing so since the cold war. So when making the system the enemy, you will lose. Because you do not stand a chance, as they are extremely prepared for it, and have been for years. So you have to change the system from within the system, by partnering up with government. 24 states have direct democracy now. Which is the people doing the voting on the issues, not the politicians. This is how Washington and Colorado legalized marijuana. They let the people decide what they want, as long as the bill of rights are not infringed on. Its how some states vote on gay marriage, clean air acts, whether or not to label GMO foods, etc. Its a way to get the people involved and participating in governance. It turns out that the people like having a voice that actually counts, and come out in record numbers to vote on the issues themselves, while bypassing the politicians. I see no reason this cannot be done at the federal level as well. A Plan B when government no longer represents the people. Mike Gravel has already wrote up the legislation for this. As he was proposing it when he ran for president in 2008. Many others are behind it as well. Like Jill Stein, Rocky Anderson, Ralph Nader, and a few others. If only Russel Brand, you, and others would get behind this, we could change the system from within, and a lot faster than what is taking place now. Please give it some serious thought, and research. Thank you. vote.org
