Hi Dean, I found this article on the lawn grub. They are indicating that the eggs will be laid in the soil - which contadicts your suggestion of smooth sheltered surfaces. Are we talking about the same grub I wonder? I have saturated the soil today with soapy water and covered it with old carpet, I will have a look tomorrow to see if any have surfaced.
