Hi Everyone. I am really prayerfully hoping you take a few minutes to read this and hopefully help! As many of you know a couple months ago I began the process to see if I could donate my kidney to a young 21 year old Marine who got a rare disease that has impacted his kidney and overall health. This past year has been extremely difficult and painful for him. My heart literally broke when I heard his story over the summer. I do not personally know him, but I felt in my heart that he was suppose to get my kidney. So over this long journey we recently found out I was one marker off from being a match. Unfortunatly that means he can not get my kidney. My heart broke and so did his! He needs a kidney (He is currently on daily dialysis and without a kidney he will not recover). We found out some great news recently, While I am not a match, we can do a paired Kidney donation. They find a match for someone who needs my kidney (and is a perfect match) and someone who matches the young Marine too! So now instead of helping one person, we get to help multiple people who desperately need a kidney!!! Praise God! I have not come to this decision lightly and have gone through extensive testing to make sure I am healthy enough to donate my kidney. The next step is to travel to Atlanta, GA. This is the facility that will be handling the entire process. They are specialists in organ donations. I need to travel as soon as possible. That is where I need help. Unfortunately I don’t have enough to money saved to cover all our travel expenses through this process. We will go out there as soon as possible for two days for additional testing. Then when they find a match we will have to fly and stay out there for an extended amount of timing. I am praying that you are willing to contribute ANY amount to help out with the expenses. ABSOLUTELY EVERY dime will go to the expense of travel and recovery time out there. I WILL NOT take ONE DIME for personal benefit. If there is ANY excess that will go directly to the Marine and his family to help them relieve some of the burden they have incurred over the past year, while battling this horrible disease. I am going to move forward with this regardless, but God has put it on my heart to avoid credit card debt if at all possible, so I am asking humbly for help. If you have a couple extra dollars you can spare, I would appreciate it greatly if you can donate. I am going to do this via PayPal. (I checked out Go Fund Me and other sites, but they charge 0.30 per dollar raised to go to them.
