Hi Facebook world! I am looking for a couple nonprofit partners for a project Im launching in my spare time. If you could pick one (or 2) nonprofit in the US making an important difference, which would they be? They can be local, state/regional or possibly national. Personally Im interested in conservation and systemic change (not so much charity per se). Theres an opportunity Id like to work with a couple of nonprofit on, but I want to find the best ones to work with. It depends on the nonprofit and how excited I am about them, but the general criteria for likely success would be: 1. They have to have a good web presence 2. $100k/year of free online advertising would make a tangible impact for them: *They are not too big for it to be meaningful, *They could monetize or otherwise directly benefit through online promotion *They are organized and could track the impact 3. They are easy to work with and could efficiently define goals, and delegate the work 4. They would be in a position to invest in this project somewhat (either out of their budget, or monetizing the free marketing) 5. Ideally they would already be raising money or selling something online already, so theyd have something to build on ** If they nonprofit requires non-federal in-kind match for grants, etc., this would be a particular asset for them. Watershed groups, and others getting federal money might be candidates. There would be some small cost to the nonprofit, but probably 5% of the free advertising. The right nonprofit should be able to monetize at LEAST that much. Really Im looking for nonprofits that are kind of entrepreneurial and would really take it and run with it. Thanks for any ideas.
