Hi all, I am talking to the person (Roberta) doing the music bookings over at the Hilton Garden Inn. After playing a few nights for tips, they wanted me to play every weds. I am not up for that as I am sure they would get tired of the same muisic every night. Just cant learn new songs that fast.. So I have suggested that they should change their music hours instead of 5-7 to 6-8. Each time I have performed there, the crowd dont start to show up until after 6 or so... To attact local talent, I have suggested they guarentee the acoustic musicians at least $50.00 bucks so they would make up whatever falls short in the tip jar.. also a meal would be nice. I was told that sounded reasonable and they where going to discuss it... So ok my musician friends... if this works out, who would be interested in this deal... I know I woudl be up for once a month. anyone Else? One point I would suggested that if new upcoming talent wants to play but are unknown locally so to speak, they are more then welcome to perform a few tunes during one my sets to showcase their stuff.. then if they like you,, you can work out booking with them.. they are looking for acoustic acts every Weds night..Of course those of you who know me are aware you are always welcome to do a few tunes anytime Im playing somewhere.. So what do yall think.
