Hi all group members, good to see the group growing in strength and as more become aware of it so the numbers will continue to rise until we have a strong protest. I am going on holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow and leave the group in the capable hands of Andy and Mark to look after. On my return I think the numbers will be high enough to start the battles and there are many ahead to win the war. A/ We need high numbers of Drivers to support the protest (getting there) B/ We need some well known Companies to come on board as well as MPs if possible ( will be contacting those I talk to) C/ I know some Trainers that support a change to the format and will again (be contacting them) D/ Together we need to debate what changes we want and how best they can be applied (this will be achieved over time by surveys and questions to you all) Plus from comments on here. E/ Put together a presentation of those changes with reasons for it and solutions applied. F/ Send out the completed presentation to those in power and other leading bodies, to gather support and feed back on the proposals. G/ Attend meetings to discuss and debate the proposals presented by UK Drivers. H/ Inform UK Truckers of the meetings and Ask for their opinion and feed back as to acceptance or refusal. I/ Negotiate if need be for a suitable outcome that benefits UK Truckers in future years. As can be seen from above it is not a short term fix, no quick miracles or answers to our concerns as Parliament also work very slowly with procedures to go through. We must ensure we show a professional approach with proper presentation and solution and not just a scrap it.(as much as I would like to scrap it) This way we can get the door open and go into proper debate and discussion with those in a position to bring about the changes required. We are at stage A/ and we need far more support to convince others that it is a majority and not a minority that consider the DCPC needs change. So please continue to spread the word, share the pages and group name and slowly but surely we will achieve the hardest stage.
