Hi all my internet buddies! What a day! My foster parents - TopicsExpress

Hi all my internet buddies! What a day! My foster parents found out something new about me today. I don’t like thundershowers. There, I have confessed it. They make me uneasy and I like to stay close to my humans just for safety. I figure it is okay because I protect them from the vacuum monster and they protect me from the thunder monster. It is an even trade, right? Look what my good friend Debi brought yesterday. He is a bluejay just for me and I can take him when I go to my new home. I have named him Sherman the Bluejay. Once you get to know him, he might let you call him Sherm. I am also planning to take “no-brains” monkey. His name is Wallace. You can call him Wally anytime you wish because he doesn’t have any brains and can’t tell the difference. I also put up a picture of Kati photobombing me. She can tell the difference but she walks in front of the camera anyway. It is getting time for you to hear about my new plans. There is this wonderful lady named Cynthia who has been coming to see me. I have put her picture up before so you might remember her. She has three really cool shelties, has had experience as a vet tech, and is a wonderful lady. She has a very gentle, caring nature and is the most positive person I have ever met. She is coming to see me again on Sunday to see how I am doing after my surgery Friday. She has written to my foster mom about how much she loves me, and here is an idea of how she writes: “I have my fingers crossed the surgeon will put in permanent internal fixation, forget the grafting and screw bar and the protracted healing (or not healing) that goes with it. Elizabeth (foster mom) reports Jake has a resilient spirit, that certainly helps. I want you not to worry, Jake has a forever home with me and my pack when he is able to manage the move.” And she wrote this: “Would I be able to come by on Sunday afternoon 6/29 for a few minutes just to give Jake a hug in person? LOVED the picture of Jake sleeping upside down – there is a LOT of bright life in that dog.” Doesn’t she sound fun? When my foster parents said yes, she replied: “Perfect … we have a date! I’ll come alone (no Stanley/Sky/Faith) so that I can focus on Jake. CAN’T WAIT !!!!!!” I like her happy nature. So I have a forever home just waiting for me. The next two nights I will be resting up for my surgery. That permanent plate is going to be wonderful support and I will be able to walk almost instantly. I have been trying so very hard to heal and this is going to give me all the time in the world to do it. Dr. Bliss is looking forward to helping me get my running and playing abilities back. I am sooooo hoping the surgery goes well. Send me lots of good vibes for Friday! May you all have a night full of peace and laughter. My foster dad is presently holding Sadie during the thunderstorm and pretending she is talking. He is such a silly human talking using that high helium pitched sound but it does make Sadie much less nervous. Love to each and every one of you! Royal King Jake
