Hi all, thought l would share a quick, easy, cheap way of removing rust from you petrol tanks, or bits and pieces. Use Citric acid and hot water. Works with cold water as well, just takes longer. The container of citric acid in picture would be enough for a large tank. Or mix in a bucket and add your rusty bits. Leave for 48 hrs, shake tank, agitate bits, has a mild action, wont corrode parts. Citric acid can be found in the cooking isle at the supermarket, cost is $2 a packet. Note, doesnt clean chromed parts.
