Hi everyone! I go to Queens University in Canada and a group of us have a radio show called RIght of Reply. We are a bi-weekly radio show and our newest episode is on the Keystone Pipeline ! Our guests could not have had more divergent perspectives on the pipeline debate. Arno Kopecky, environmental journalist in Squamish, BC, stresses the detrimental impact of pipelines on communities and the environment. Deborah Yedlin, business columnist for the Calgary Herald, argues that pipelines are an issue of national importance and approval of them is vital to the health of the Canadian national economy. Dr. Warren Mabee, Queens School of Policy Studies Professor, suggests that renewable technologies can be incorporated into the development and production of fossil fuels - pipelines and sustainable energy are not mutually exclusive.
