This is so cool. This woman is so intelligent. After listening to her Ive begun to wonder and think about what it is when I practice what Ive gained entry to through the Myo-fascial release techniques a coworker taught me. Watching her diffusely, and listening to her explain what it does and is like, I feel like the new kind of work Ive been doing is tapping into the same thing shes talking about. People come out asking me what it is, and I dont have an exact answer yet and hope one day I will have a name I can call it. I can describe what I do, and what Im feeling into. Its very light and isnt engaging very deep right away. Ill set in and feel for a kind of soft melting of what I believe is the fascia, and feel my fingers relax into it as it receives it. Then, feeling what it says by way of tension and holding dynamic, Ill begin to subtly draw into what I feel it is moving towards, and then can tap into its broader pattern and begin to unwind the solidity. Following it is listening to the way it feels, and feeling into where it guides you. With enough poised relaxation in your stance of approach, it becomes an automatic unfolding, and one becomes merely a facilitator to tap into this level of tissue. Ive used it the most to soften and unwind clients who come in with lower back complaints. I find working into the vertebral connective tissue is effective too for following out the flow of information from the central channel. One client commented how she felt much more fluid l and tall, and was tapped into her body, where she is normally in her head. Thats where I told her about what Ive begun to learn about in this video presentation.
