Hi everyone, I thought I would provide an update on behalf of Kim. They are getting her ready for the 4th dose of chemo. Yesterday was a good day. She is getting great care here! She has had a lot of nerve pain from her lower spine down through her leg. Her care team has decided they would like to do some scans of that area to ensure there is nothing new happening there. Today, we walked more around the hospital. Kim felt nauseous and was given some heavy duty meds which made her feel very uncomfortable. She slept for several hours and was anxious about how they made her feel. On a positive note, we have learned some good lessons about the area, amenities, and the fact that being able to speak Spanish would be really helpful. I leave tomorrow and I think Kim is a little nervous about being alone again, especially if she has any other reactions like she did today. The biggest contribution I believe I have made was finding a Starbucks across the street, where I have been able to serve Kim her favorite coffee in the mornings and whenever she wants a boost mid-day. Its been a joy to spend some time with Kim, and keep her company. Its good medicine :)
