Hi everyone, Just wanted to let yall know that I am home now and doing wonderful! I only have discomfort, and have had no major pain at all. Compared to the monthly pain I have endured over the last few years, this has been a walk in the park so far! My only real issue was that I ended up with whats called a Spinal headache (I had a spinal block with light anesthesia instead of having a full general anesthetic to be put under). 18 hrs after the operation I got a massive headache due to spinal fluid leaking out of the dura puncture site. They gave me meds to relieve the headache, which did nothing, then gave me stronger meds which did nothing then said they had one more course of action to try before calling the anesthesiologist to do a blood patch ( inject blood into my spine to replace the lost fluid) and they asked me if I thought I could drink a coffee because apparently caffeine is a known antidote for a spinal headache. I love coffee so of course my answer was ummmm YES! and lo and behold the headache was gone within an hour of drinking a large triple triple from the Bakin Donuts shop in the hospital! Whoda thought eh!! Other than that I have really had no major pain only mild pain and discomfort that does not require regular pain meds. I did overdo it a little on Friday (the day I got home from the hospital) and ended up with a swelly belly and some pain so I quickly learned that I must listen to what my body tells me and not what my head tells me I should be able to do so I learned that lesson and hopefully wont have to be taught that again. Other than that the only notice that I get tired out very easily. A simple shower feels like I ran a 20 K marathon afterwards but I know that is completely normal and am feeling pretty blessed to be feeling so good considering I just had surgery. I have felt all your prayers and cant even begin to describe my gratitude towards you all and my gratitude towards Gods endless grace, comfort and mercy over me. He has and is taking such good care of me, I feel so blessed! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!! GOD IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!
