Hi everyone, a few friends and I with BMW R1100GS/R1150GS(A)s are going to camp at the Kokoriba resort on the the week-end of the 7th; 8th & 9th of November. The invite has now been opened to owners/riders/fans of... the BMW R80GS(The Grand-Daddy of our bikes) as well. A few R80GSs are also joining us - so if you own one of these legends, please let me know whether you would like to join us. The idea is to show your bike, share your travel experience and get talking about the quirks and foibles of these models and how to fix them. Youll meet a bunch of like-minded spirits from whom you can learn a lot. Well probably end up having a braai and a few beers around a campfire talking about these legends. There may be an outride on the Saturday to places like Breedts Nek; Bakkers Pass; Jan Trichaardts Pass; Rankins Pass(out Thabazimbi/Vaalwater way for those that want to join). There may be a ride on the Sunday to have breakfast at Beestekraal StasiePlease. Note that there are no rules as such and you basically do what you like. You are responsible for all your own bookings/reservation at Kokoriba and also all catering; so you bring what you need/like. Its all a pretty down-scaled, chilled week-end where you are free to do your own thing really... (See Jaco Steyn s event invite somewhere posted below...)
