Hi friends! I know it is still summer and everyone is enjoying sunshine, warm breezes and the outdoors. Snow, ice and the bitter cold is the last thing on your mind. Winter is not our favorite time of year, it is very hard on our chained dogs, so we are thinking ahead about their care. Caring for the dogs in winter is much more expensive. For one we receive 2-3 times the calls for help during the cold months. More straw is needed, we go through 12-20 bales of straw each week vs the 2-3 bales in the summer. Our outdoor dogs need to have increased body fat to help keep them warm & alive, so we need more food with a higher protein/fat count. Tie outs break from the cold and have to be replaced more often. We are asking all of you to help us, help the chained and neglected dogs of SW Detroit and the Downriver communities. We are a 501c3 non-profit that runs solely on donations. We can do the hard stuff, go out into the cold, rain, snow, heat.. carry houses, step in poop, feed & clean dogs, vet them, unchain them, keep them alive, give them love, clean their areas, and educate their owners. But we need your help to fund it. Donations of any size are appreciated & help so very much. To break it down: A $10.00 donation can buy 2 bales of straw and a long lasting chew. A $25.00 donation can by 2 bales of straw and a large bag of high protein dog food. A $50.00 donation can buy a barnstyle house. A$75.00 donation can purchase a barnstyle house, 2 bales of straw and a bag of high protein dog food. $150.00 dollars will purchase an large Igloo dog house. $200.00 will purchase an Igloo dog house, 3 bales of straw, 1 large bag of high protein dog food, a tie out, and a long lasting chew. Every donation makes the life of a chained dog better!! Thank you all so much for supporting C.H.A.I.N.E.D Inc and our mission to enhance the lives of 24/7 chained dogs of Detroit & Downriver. We are freeing dogs from the chain one dog at a time. gogetfunding/project/winter-care-of-24-7-chained-dogs
