Hi my name is heather iv been suffering from Tric since I was 10 & after a series of unfortunate events when I was 12 I lost 80% of my hair :( with me its extreme highs & lows Im 23 now & continue to suffer .... I need help I have a 5 1/2 month of daughter and Im so scared shes gonna pick up on this habit .... Thats my worst fear I couldnt live with myself if my daughter had to live her life hiding behind hoodies bandanas wigs hats or be embarrassed to go swimming bc of the fear of getting her hair wet thats a sad life to have to live n its hard growing up like that its so embarrassing u feel like ur always in hiding in some way shape or form I had no idea how many ppl suffer the same illness I thought it was very unheard of but then a friend in Facebook liked the extentinists page to help u n apparently they will work with what u got. Which is amazing I think iv maybe had 5. Hair cuts since I was 10 I was too embarrassed to go into a salon Scared of how they. Would look at me. Or how they would make me feel Im on maternity leave right now until October I will be going to Megans salon to help me get the confidence I need for my job Im so happy theres a group n meetings Thank u to the people who had the courage to start this group n create a salon specializing people with Tric I hope this is a privet group tho bc Im not ready n dont know if Ill ever be ready to put my self out there to my friends n family on Facebook
