Hi there, dont know if you remember Nanuke who we rescued as a 3 year old in July. He is getting on really well, however we have just tried to insure him after some debate on his breed us saying he is an inuit and getting the vet to verify that for the insurance company, the insurance company put him down as a mixed breed as she had not got an Inuit on her system and we went ahead and insured him. We then received a call back from the insurance company who say that their underwriters have said that he is a Utonagan. We have never heard of that breed but she insisted that the underwriters have said she must cancel our policy and we must talk to our vet. It seems that a Utonagan is a pedigree dog and would cost double the monthly premiums. Looking up the Utonagan breed we must say Nanuke looks awfully like them and now we are really confused, his adoption papers say hes Iniut we are very confused. Can anybody help with this either by advising us how to insure him or do you know about the Utonagan breed and can you shed any light on this for us. Thanks Barbara
