Hi there.. look at me, aint I a cutie! come closer, closer, closer.. CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP! got your fingers haha, run run run. Nah, just kidding :P Come back and gives a clap, look puppy eyes! closer, closer.. CHOMP SNAP MUNCH! haha, got your fingers, run run run. Oh, wait.. shoes, stand still.. noo, still, SNAP, CHOMP haha, got them :) you cant catch me!! aaaand, Ive got curtains over my head and you cant see moi... Oi! I said you cant see me :P And, Im spent.. hard work being this mental, and at only 8 weeks old! By the way, Im Bailey and you may call me Snappy :) Im a Johnson American Bulldog and Im only a tiny little guy.. well Im huge for an 8 week puppy, but cute eh? I was given up by my breeder at 6 weeks and mummy and daddy knew it was best to take me home, but that meant that as my litter-mates were already gone, I never learnt social interaction and puppy manners.. The Urban Dog guy came round today and I munched my way through his fingers in around 7 seconds flat.. but he didnt react like I wanted, it was as if he didnt want to play chompy munchy finger game.. and only when I accepted contact and play without starting the turn his hand into a teabag game I thought everyone wanted.. I was confused with this turn of events, but it soon started making sense and thats when we got onto the good stuff.. Up first, Sit. Now you may think, yeah.. I got this, but I was the same until I found out that if I do it straight away following a hand signal or verbal cue, I get treats :D Next up, Down.. I had been trying this, but was getting confused and either played the turn his hand into a teabag game or gave a paw.. with the correct cue, reinforcement and reward training.. I got this now!! Now, I had went down and after that.. Up :) not jump up, just up, back into a sit position.. Next was, Stay, conjoined with some basic recall training.. and I am one clever puppy, as I flew through it! top marks. Mummy, Daddy and Dog Man spoke about toilet training and lots of other things.. but by this point I had retired to my bed for some much needed R&R. Good Luck everyone and Im not going to lie, Dog guy knows his stuff :) Peace out, and keep on keeping on.
