Hiberians will take on Southend in the Ardagh cup final after both sides won their semi-finals in Ozier Park. The holders Hibs beat The Villa 3 nil with Mark OKeeffe, Paul Walsh and David McGrath all scoring goals in the closing 20 minutes. Southend booked their spot after a 2 -1 win over Tramore. Gary McGraths header put the seasiders ahead but Dean Kennedy equalised on the stroke of half time. Glen Hawe got what proved to be the winning goal 20 minutes from time. Meanwhile Waterford United have been drawn away to Shelbourne in the second round of the FAI Cup. The Dublin outfit were the visitors to the RSC on Friday night last and made the Blues pay for missed opportunities as Lee Desmond netted a late winner for the first division leaders. The clubs cup tie will go ahead on Sunday the 8th of June.
