Highlander 6 Sends: To the friends and Families of the Highlander team, I wanted to give you a brief update regarding the activities of the Brigade Combat Team. The vast majority of the Highlander team has arrived at the National Training Center, with a few Soldiers arriving as late deployers soon. We are preparing our equipment and units for future combat operations and we expect to roll-out to the training area on Friday. Units will conduct situational training exercises at the battalion level and live fire exercises at the company level for six days. In the meantime, the unit staffs will be developing the plan for our first BCT-level fight against a thinking, adaptive human enemy. We expect to begin that force-on-force phase of training on 19 SEP. Your Soldiers are doing a superb job of preparing and we hope that the weather holds as it has been unusually mild for a place in the Mojave Desert. So far, so good!
