Highlands Fire Department, Ladder 17-90. Todays training involved laddering the Highlands Bridge for a simulated car over the rail along with relay pumping from two sources. Drafting from the Shrewsbury River with Engine 17-75 and pulling water from a fully dressed 12 main Hydrant with Engine 17-77 we were able to pump 2,200 GPM out of 17-90 with 4 master streams in operation. Training evolutions like this prepare us for the worst scenarios and allow time for us to critique ourselves and better prepare for the next call. This is how we evolve in best serving our communities needs. All of this accomplished with responding to two calls throughout the day, first being a fire alarm and second being a Motor Vehicle Accident. #HFDworksforHighlands
