Hiring at University of North Dakota (UND)—the Executive Director of Housing and Dining. The Executive Director provides visionary leadership and is responsible for managing all aspects of University housing for over 4,200 students: residence halls, University apartments, residence life, educational/leadership programs, multi-unit campus dining and retail operations, catering services, facilities management, finance and technology, assignments and occupancy management, camps and conferences, and marketing functions. The Executive Director • oversees approximately 195 full-time staff (with six direct reports), 600 student and part-time staff, and has an annual operating budget of more than $30 million. • manages the department budget, sets department goals, coordinates assessment activities, and prioritizes capital projects; • creates positive environments which enhance equity and inclusion and supports diverse students and staff; • works collaboratively and builds relationships with a broad array of stakeholder groups including students, parents, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members; • and, implements strategies which contribute to the achievement of divisional and institutional priorities. The new Executive Director must be an innovative leader with the ability to strategically facilitate organizational change, and incorporate best practices into the organizational culture.
