Hola Amigos! Candela the Iberian Beauty here . . . Que Dia! WHAT a day! It is my greatest pleasure to report that a big fat sunshiney milestone has been reached . . . .but Ill get to that. A little history first . . . . The Lady and I have struggled for a while now with our flat work; to be fair the struggle has been mostly mine. She grumbles that I am short and choppy when she rides me in the school and apparently I also chomp a lot - and hollow too. Theres no pleasing some folk. Pff. I have been sorely tempted to suggest that SHE tries trotting round in circles on hot sand with 65 kilos of enthusiasm clamped to her back . . . but I wouldnt be so rude . . . and besides, she IS the hand that feeds me! The Lady worries a lot (bless) and has searched long and hard for the cause of all these bad things that I do. . . . . . I have been carted off in a trailer to see the dentist (not funny), had my back poked (that was quite funny!), Ive carried a huge variety of gizmos in my mouth and had a full range of saddles stuffed into the gap between me and Her Ladyship. I have also, over time been rendered bit less, treeless and shoeless (we kept the last one) . . . .all, it seems, in a quest to have me travelling up hill . . . . . in a flat arena! Oh please. She has even been known, in her most exasperated post-ride, tomato faced, hair-stuck-to-head-with-sweat moments to pronounce that it is a very good job that I am beautiful to look at . . . . ! Anyway (milestone alert) the BIG news is that she has bought a book - reputedly intended to ENLIGHTEN her. Hoo-bloody-Ray! She has clearly wasted no time at all in reading a chapter or two as there is substantial repositioning of body parts and lots of buttock synching going on up there. . . . .I may even be bold enough to suggest that the long awaited proverbial penny is on the very verge of dropping!
