I know Im going to get heat on this one, but Minimum wage in California goes up to $9/hr today! This is horrendous!!!! Get ready to see hikes in prices everywhere! Fiscal liberals are saying that raising the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour would save taxpayers $4.6 billion in spending on food stamps, therefore, Fiscal conservatives should side with the minimum wage raise. WHAT!?!? How may of these minimum wage workers spend their money on Cellphone bills, Cellphone Accessories, Unnecessary car financing, $400 EDC tickets... etc. etc. etc. Increasing the minimum wage will only increase these unnecessary expenditures for those lacking the education to earn more... If there is an issue with food, that these minimum wage workers need to rely on food stamps, and thus using up taxpayer dollars, why are these minimum wage workers maintaining unnecessary expenditures????? If the issue is saving taxpayer dollars, then there a law must prohibit the maintenance of unnecessary expenditures when an individual is receiving food stamps, or welfare, or any other government assistance.
