Holy Moly! What a crazy first leg of the summer tour! I got to start it off with semi-private mini-intensives in the Bay Area, and go to an amazing event in the middle of nature! Thank you Tatseena Raqs for having me and charging my soul! After that, I got to meet up with my dance brother, Paige Lawrence, meet his lovely mother, deliver some giggles to Americas sweetest tittie-sprinkle, Dusty Paik. Before leaving the bay, Paige and I choreographed a beautiful duet, and got to get our pre-road trip exercise with a butt-kicking class with Kami Liddle! After our commute to LA, we met up with our brother, Vyper SynVille, who generously hosted us with the luminous Saahirah Syn! Paige and I got to perform at a BFLA Hafla, which has been on my Bellydance Bucket List for YEARS! Thank you Aubre Hill and Donavon Lerman, for having us! Cut to Rakkas Festival, where the beautiful, gracious, and generous Mark Bissell and Matt Bissell outdid themselves yet again, with another groundbreaking, all-male bellydance show, in a beautiful venue! Paiges workshop was one of the most amazing mental/physical exercises I have ever experienced in dance! The whole event had me crying like Nancy Carrigan, to see so many brothers together, representing our art form so passionately. After Rakkas, I went straight back to Bellydance Evolution, where the entire cast and crew put their blood, sweat, and tears into making magic onstage. The Alice in Wonderland show was absolutely amazing, and only made more beautiful by being in the beautiful Ford Amphitheatre! Thank you Jillina, for having me back, Susan Frankovich, for being my rock, again, and Sharon Kihara, for sharing one of the funniest birthday moments in the history of EVER, with me! The morning after the show, I hopped on a plane and landed back at home with just enough time to see the incomparable Mira Betz perform! I got to make some great new friends, connect with old ones, challenge myself, and have my passion restored and super-charged! I am so grateful for all of you in my life! Its because of you that I have the best job on Earth!
