I went to the dentist yesterday. (Much better results that I expected, as I had not been in awhile.) I have gum issues, which is common. The hygienist told me that cardiologists these days are finding that unhealthy gums can be a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, etc - because the bacteria that infect the gums get into the bloodstream. Food for thought, as we all want to be healthy in every way we can.
