Holy crap, some people. WARNING: THIS IS A TOO-LONG, DIDNT-READ POST. Id be very happy if you read it anyway and told me your thoughts, though. I did a little asking around in regards to a lot of the accusations and drama going on in this community, and one of the main culprits (the supposed source of a lot of it) blew up in my face the moment I mentioned a more passive approach to the name-calling and general throwing of mud. I mean geez, he reacted like I insulted his little sister. As of now, I really have no idea who to believe anymore. But I do know this: There is nothing to gain from accusations and drudging up things from that past. Weve all done terrible things we are not proud of; what defines us as an individual is what we do with what we have NOW. If youre an ex-convict, thats your business. As long as youre doing something productive with yourself, I have no problems with you. I have friends and coworkers who have been to jail, and done some bad stuff. Im not going to judge them based on that. They have proven to me that they have changed and are good people. Lets face it, weve all messed up. Some worse than others. Dont go and point fingers when your hands are just as dirty. Be the bigger person and show some kindness instead of hate. It is so much harder to be generous and benevolent than to just let your emotions take over.
