Home sweet home! Jenny and I have been at UK Childrens Hospital - TopicsExpress

Home sweet home! Jenny and I have been at UK Childrens Hospital with Grayson since Thursday. Wednesday night after church he threw up his entire bottle, twice. After the second time while Jenny was reaching for some clean pjs he fell from the changing table. He then vomited again, but calmed down. Showed no signs of trauma so we let him sleep. In the morning he wasnt his usual self so a trip to the pediatrician showed an ear infection. But with the fall he was concerned and said if Grayson vomited again to call. Sure enough after Jenny got home and fed him, it all came back up. So we then were told to go get a CT scan. CT scan wasnt conclusive so we got a MRI. After conferring, the doctors had us come to the ER. They saw a mass under his cerebellum that they feared was a tumor. A contrast MRI showed no tumor! But rather a pocket of blood, possibly from a ruptured blood vessel and an arachnoid cyst. Another MRI was scheduled for his neck to try and locate the source of the blood. Finally results from that MRI came back normal. The blood should dissipate and the cyst shouldnt become a problem unless it grows. There will be follow up visits but we are relieved to have the good news that we got this weekend. This summary of the past 4 days doesnt begin to describe the agony and fear we felt, but with many prayers and Gods grace we made it through. I thank everyone for their support and prayers. It really made a difference knowing we have so many people caring about our family.
