Hoping to get some help with this... My dad always told us his parents came from Porchumovitz (sp?) and Medzhybizh. Turns out it was his grandparents, actually. No matter how I spelled it or searched jewish gen, I found no evidence of Porchumovitz. Medzhybizh was easy. The Baal Shem Tov was from there. Lo and behold, I came across the manifest for my great grandparents, and they list their brother/brother in law living in Porchumovitz! Have any of you ever heard of Porchumovitz? Im guessing its not far from Medzhybizh. I also need help deciphering my grand uncles name... Moschka Rosenthal? Thanks in advance.
