How about some good news? The very old dog I rescued last Wednesday... look how forlorn he looked when we were on our way to the vet... he looked like hed lost his best friend. Well, he had :-( Trooper (name I gave him) spent the last week here with me. He was a very sweet dog and easy to care for. But poor guy hed just wander through the house, pace and whimper. He was never happy... just kind of resolved to a new home. He liked me, but I wasnt his person. Thanks to Michele Grove Erie, we found his real family! She saw an ad on one of the lost and found pages here and sure enough it was Trooper... aka Zack. Seems him and his little buddy got out when the screen door bounced open last week. Cooper, his buddy, got to go home the same day. Zack got to go home to his mom Lorri and his dad Ben this morning. Wow... when he saw Lorri his whole demeanor changed. He was so happy to see her... his tail was wagging he was literally crying/howling with joy. He jumped on her, jumped on me (I think he was saying thank you :-) He was getting as close to her as he could get. They got him as a puppy. He is fifteen years old. I am sure that he is going to sleep well tonight now that he is in his own home again :-) What a happy day. I just cried and cried tears of joy this morning because he was so happy to see his mom again. That photo was right after he tucked his head into her neck and nuzzled her :-)
