How can we know if we have this divine life of Christ dwelling in us? You know because the presence of Christs life is proven and self evident by and through our spirit consciousness of the Holy Spirit Life presence in us. And also vice versa - Rom 8:16 , The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Life cannot be manufactured or stimulated, nor does it need to be. If there is life there is no need to pretend; if there is not life there is no possibility to pretend. The most distinctive expression of life is its consciousness . Hence a Christian who has Christs Life see and hears the Author of the Bible speaking words of truth and life and not merely intellectually informed with doctrinal understanding only. Who is better able to interpret and explain the Bible than the Author Himself? Hence, should we worship the Bible; as some does, or, should we worship the God the Bible proclaim? We cannot possibly experience many of the promises of Scripture unless we know God and hear Him speaking to us . Man shall not lives by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God The teaching of the NT writers is that the Christian norm is to walk in the Spirit. Romans 8:14
