How come it is, when you FINALLY get to savor the Almighty Friday at work, feel the excitement from another week done and in the books....all to get to the BIG DAYS and FUN DAYS of your week....Saturday and Sunday....and life as you know it hits you right in the face (or in my case, my broad ass...). After I drug my aching bones out to the mail box (cuz the weather is changing and its cold here), I have discovered an offer from friggin AARP! OMG! REALLY? ALREADY? Yeah. I guess so. Then my reality is the one decision I have to make on a weekly basis: Do I chose to clean house on Sat or Sun? Or do I make my grocery run on this or that day. So, in theory, I have become an elderly creature of habit. Work Mon-Fri on the red-eye shift (which I prefer cuz Im a night owl and always have been). Weekends are dedicated basically to preparation for the coming week again. I look in the VZC newspaper for the arrests reports, obits (which my dad was known for), and to maybe catch a glimpse of some of the home bunch on occasion, look at recipe books (which my grandmother was famous for doing), and then go back into Robot Mode for Red-eye again. Grin. My hope and faith and happiness is in my Savior, fiancée, and family and friends. On my worse day, Ive STILL been so very blessed. But daddy was right....this really IS how we roll when we just get older. Have a great week everybody. Love to you all!
