How did Akinyi Williams, from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, become a Student Founding Sponsor?: There is this girl I sat next to in a class where we learned all about public narrative at the Kennedy school with Marshall Ganz. Well, she and I had numerous talks and even went to dinner together at an Asian restaurant and pitched to each other our ideas. Well she asked if I would pledge $25 as part of a student body to match a larger donation and I did. I told her she has to teach me how to raise my first million for the school I am running in my mothers back yard in Kenya when she has time. She promised she would.
