How do you Defeat Anxiety about Not Persevering to the End in Faith? The Bible so wants you not to fret about this! Philippians 1:6 I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. God will keep you believing. Jeremiah 32:40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts that they may not turn from me. This is the new covenant promise that Jesus brought with His blood. And that is future grace for us now until the day you die. (Future Grace - is a kind of power that builds a fresh, deep habit of depending hourly habit upon the promises of God, to be set free from sin, and to perform acts of love and righteousness that will make a difference in our lives for the glory of Jesus.) This is true for you. You are in the covenant if you belong to me, Jesus Christ. He will put the fear of God in their hearts so that they may not turn from me. He will not let you turn. This is where the sovereignty of God becomes exquisitely precious. If I were to ask you: WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WILL WAKE UP A BELEIVER TOMORROW MORNING? - instead of waking up an agnostic or an atheist, or, Im done with that. Why not? God is committed to me. He wont let that happen. It is the faithfulness of God who says, I wont let you turn away from me. I put you in my son. I believe He is in my life inclining me over and over again. So I need evidence that I am born of God, belong to the covenant and read the promise: I will not let you turn from me. I wont waste any sleep wondering if Ill wake up a believer in the morning. It has nothing to do whether I have a strong will. I dont have a strong will. Prone to wander, Lord I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love. Take my heart O God and seal it, for thy courts above.
