How does a man, who eats and shits and bleeds like any other man, disappear right in front of your eyes? Thats essentially what hooked me on the jungle all the many years ago. I wanted to know how that trick was done. Do that again right in front of me, when Im really paying attention. The remarkable thing is that there still are people who can do it. Repeatedly. They appear to simply vanish--although there is nothing simple about vanishing. Is it a question of moving very, very fast very quietly--or does something else happen? Im at my happiest writing and thinking about these things.
